Want a Free App to Go With Your New iPod or iPhone?

With Christmas Day approaching, the CKA team decided that we'd love to help millions celebrate the gift of a brand new iPod Touch or iPhone they'll be recieving over the next couple days.  We're pretty sure that anyone receiving one of these toys will be extremely pleased with their gift, but what if we could help make it a bit better?

To do our part, we're going to be giving away copies of our hottest selling app through what we're calling "48 Hours of Battery Go!."

Once per hour starting at 12:00pm CST on Christmas Day, we'll be using the @BatteryGo Twitter account to give away a promo code for the app.   Just check us out here or follow the account on Twitter, grab the code once we tweet it, then run over to iTunes and enter it in hopes of being the first to use the code in order to get a free copy of our successful battery management application.

We're not stopping there either!  We're also going to give away one limited (as in only 12 were ever even made) CollegeKidApp.com t-shirts!

To enter to win the t-shirt, all you need to do is take a picture of yourself either using Battery Go! or somehow promoting Battery Go!.  You could take a photo of yourself using the app on the train, in the car, or you could even take a marker and write Battery Go! across your arm.  If you're promoting Battery Go!, we'll consider it an entry.  There is also no limit to the amount of times you can enter, so send in as many entries as you would like.  Once you're finished, take that photo and send it to @BatteryGo using a Twitter photo service such as Twitpic or e-mail the photo to Cameron@CollegeKidApp.com.  We'll take entries up until December 31st and then the CKA team will judge the photos and award the t-shirt to the one we find to be most original.

So happy holidays and we hope you enjoy the season with Battery Go!  Be sure to check out the Twitter feed starting Christmas day in hopes of getting a free copy of our application and be sure to send us your photo using the app so that we can consider you in our t-shirt contest!

New Website!

Welcome to the somewhat new CollegeKidApp.com.  It's not finallized and not essentially the vision we have for what this will ultimately become, but it's a starting point none the less.  We've moved over to SquareSpace because we like the options they give us, so we've played around and essentially ported our old website over.  Take some time to check it out and use our new e-mail form to let us know what you think.  More will be coming in the future, so we hope you come back often.

Fox Business Documentary

I decided to import some video I shot a while ago and export it to a movie. I shot this back when we went to Chicago to be on Fox Business News. Enjoy!

Ask an iPhone App Developer (Me!!)

Wanted to spread this link to something I'm really excited about. I've been working recently with AppAdvice.com on a weekly column called "Ask an iPhone Developer", where I'll be answering reader questions on a regular basis. It should be a great little segment and I'm hoping that I can answer a lot of questions which people may have about being an iPhone developer. If you have a question, definitely check out the link and hopefully I can answer it in one of the weekly columns.
